TRAVEL GUIDE

Car Rental Milwaukee and the Betty Brinn Childrens Museum

Betty Brinn was a Milwaukee businesswoman who spent most of her childhood in fosters homes and orphanages in Wisconsin. When she was an adult, she spent a lot of her time and money helping underprivileged children and women in Milwaukee in finding healthcare. When she passed away in 1992, there was a push to have her memory live on. Today the Betty Brinn Children's Museum is that legacy, which you can visit with your Milwaukee car rental.

The mission of the museum is to provide interactive exhibits and educational resources that promote healthy development of children in their earlier years. The museum is dedicated to children from birth through age ten to develop fundamental skills, self-esteem, and the ability to work with others. Caregivers use the Museum as a resource for information on early childhood brain development, learning styles, and effective parenting skills.

Three Great Play Areas

When you visit the Museum with your Milwaukee car rental, you find a wide range of activities in three galleries. In the North Gallery there is It's Artastic! an exhibit for children to explore the visual, language and performing arts. There is also My Body Works, an exploration of the workings of the human body. Kids can crawl through a giant human heart, weave a scab on the skin, and learn how food is digested.

In the East Gallery there is Raceways and On a Roll. You can use golf balls on a track to experiment with gravity, acceleration, and momentum.

In the South Gallery there is A Trading Place where kids role play jobs in the community while learning about economics and commerce. WBB-TV takes you into the studio where you can experiment with electronic pictures and sounds. Finally there is Betty's Busy Backyard.
